Boeheim promotes McNamara to assistant (AP) (Yahoo)
Former Syracuse star Gerry McNamara will fill in on the Orange's coaching
staff while associate head coach Bernie Fine is on administrative leave after
child molestation allegations. Coach Jim Boeheim announced Friday that
McNamara had been promoted. McNamara played on Syracuse's 2003 NCAA
championship team and was a four-year starter for the Orange.
